Short-term Housing Wanted
Explorations Academy recently admitted another student who wants to travel halfway around the world to find meaningful education. James will be joining us as a 10th grader in the next few weeks. He will be accompanied by his grandmother, Charlene, who has been living with him in Thailand. They are looking for a short-term rental or a house-sitting situation so they can get started at EA as soon as possible while being able to search for long-term housing once they are in the area. If you know of anything that might work for a family of two, please relay that information to Bacchus.
No PSAT This Year
Explorations Academy has always been opposed to most standardized tests. Nonetheless, we have always offered the PSAT as a cross-cultural experience. This year we will not be offering it due to difficulties of effectively administering such a test in a pandemic setting. We are happy to work with any families who would really like to find a way to take that exam this year. Any students opting to take the PSAT would be excused from their absences at EA.
Thanks to Seeking Health
Explorations Academy would like to thank Seeking Health for a generous contribution to our Financial Aid Program with a gift earmarked to ensure that EA remains affordable to BIPOC and other historically marginalized groups.
Seeking Health is a fundamentally different kind of supplement company with a mission to optimize lives through health and genetic education. This year we have added a line of Sport-Tek lightweight garments with moisture wicking performance. These are perfect for hiking and camping! Samples are available in the office.
