I woke up, stretched a little, and looked through the window to see the sun just peeking out from the horizon, looming over the Sea of Cortez and its wildlife. We went downstairs to eat some morning tacos, as one would expect in Mexico. After a little bit of grocery shopping, we decided to go on a hike located 30 minutes out of town. It was fantastical. Mountains peppered the landscape, with 20 foot cacti erupting from the earth. We took notes and added local wildlife to our field journals and even saw a tarantula! We got back and rested at the inn appreciating, well, just the fact that we were in Mexico, surrounded by good friends and hope that the next day would be just as wonderful.
