Hola from Baja!
Today we woke up at 6:00 to go bird watching. We saw so many types of birds, more than I’ve ever seen in one place before. After gazing and learning about all of the beautiful birds, we stopped at a small market to buy some local queso fresco, olives, and rosemary bread. It was all SO delicious and fresh.
I absolutely love it here, the food, people, land. It’s so lovely. When we finished our fresh market food all of us looked for a place to go to lunch. After some talking we decided on a cute little place called Pangalapa. It served great fish tacos, they were so good.
We had a long morning of fun so decided to take a small siesta and hangout at the inn. Bianca, Kai, Nate, Rohan, and I played cards, laughed, and talked about life and the trip. We realized we didn’t have suitable ingredients for tonight’s dinner, so we organized a trip to the store. Marley and Nora wrote down what we needed from the store in Spanish, so that we could practice translating. After translating the list we headed over to the supermarket, El Pescador, to buy our groceries.
When we got there, Nora and Marley let the five of us do the shopping and talking. We bought the groceries with little trouble and set off for the beautiful and amazing inn that we are staying in. After putting away the food, Marley took us to the beautiful and lovely beach for a history lesson. It was very windy, but the ocean was pretty with its waves crashing onto the shore of sand and small rocks. It didn’t take long for the temperature to drop and everybody to get cold, so we walked back to the inn with the wind and setting sun. It was beautiful.
