“Blowin’ in the Wind:”
Climate Lecture With Dr. Sandy Lawrence
Tomorrow evening we continue our series of lectures around issues of energy and climate, with Dr. Sandy Lawrence. In the next installment, titled “Blowin’ in the Wind,” Dr. Lawrence will discuss how the rapidly changing economics and technology of wind power could ultimately provide ten times the estimated energy needs of the country. This is a free event open to the whole community, and takes place at 6pm downstairs in the Rookery.
Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is an international movement designating a common day for charitable giving. On the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving–the start of holiday season–show your generosity by donating to a non-profit or cause of your choice.
The Explorations Academy Board of Directors has offered to match all donations to EA promised during Giving Tuesday, up to $4000. That means that you can double your donation, and enjoy double the holiday satisfaction. Contact Bacchus to pledge your donation any time tomorrow, Tuesday December 6.
Postcards From Peru and Baja 
Every year, one of our largest and most successful fundraisers is the postcard sponsorship. As a $50 donor, you will receive a postcard sent from Peru or Baja with interesting stories from our adventurers. Larger donations garner a greater number of postcards. The benefit of this sponsorship is that you, the sponsor, will receive a token and a reminder of your donation, connecting you with the learning and adventures taking place. You can enjoy handwritten postcards from Baja, from Peru, or from both!
