Joy Pesaturo
Joy is a native of the Pacific Northwest. She grew up surrounded by the beauty of the San Juan Islands and the Salish Sea, in Anacortes, WA. She and her husband Greg have 3 children, 2 sons who are EA graduates and their daughter who is currently attending High School at EA.
Joy has been a working artist for over 20 years with paintings in private collections all over the United States, and works featured in magazines in the UK. Her early volunteer role as an art specialist in schools evolved into formally teaching Art Education for the last 10 years. She found that she possessed a natural ability to teach her craft. Her specialty is incorporating art history and social studies with unique art projects that teach students the essential elements of art. Joy is a persistent learner who thrives on sharing her passion for creativity, art, and history with the students of Explorations Academy. She feels grateful to work with and support the amazing staff and students at EA.
In her spare time, Joy enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, gardening, painting, and being creative.
