Why a Field Campus?
Explorations Academy’s 13‑acre Field Campus surrounding Kinney Creek is an outdoor classroom where young people learn through observation, restoration, and hands-on projects across every discipline. Students practice design thinking while engaging with real ecosystems and community partners.
What this enables:
- Authentic, place‑based interdisciplinary learning
- Projects that create solutions to sustainability issues
- Environmental leadership development, teamwork, and stewardship habits for life
- Community research and service that make a measurable local impact

Big idea:
When students can touch the work, they can own their learning and change their world.
